Three words.

Dancing.

Baking.

Sleeping.

So, dancing.

Yesterday i woke up at 7.30.  and what did I do first?

I called jin woo.

to wake him up.

because the night before, he called to ask for a ride into school.  then he asked if i could call him.  at 7.30 in the morning.

SO i did. And no, he didnt pick up.  Nor did any of the 4 guys sleeping at a friend’s house (see sexaybody318)

(no i won’t link you to it).

So, I did what any girl in the morning would have done.  I left.  I left to school so that i could be on time for dance.  Dance was from 8.30am to 3.00pm.

And i didn’t dance.

for about 2 hours.

Then..i did. And it was tiring.

I was so exhausted.

And it was so cold :(

There’s really not much to say about dancing. Basically..you dance. But the performance is in 6 days. OH WHAT. SIX DAYS.

More details are to be kept a secret. None of you will be seeing me dance >:(

And thats a request.

After taking public home in the cooooolllddd I went to emu’s house to bake.

We baked 2 types of cookies :)

WOW do i feel…lazy.

i didn’t do any work today.

but you know what?

it’s okay.

because this is basically my last week of no absolute need to start revision for gcses.

it’s now in the freezer (cos the recipe is weird) :P

anyway, so here it is; quite fast :) also…i feel kind of bad - only now - that i used a LOT of marshmallow fluff (emu don’t you worry, there’s still a whole tub left AND i now know how to make fluff) :)

sunday morning…:)

so i was very grateful for church today

and if you know me, i don’t usually…jump up and down on a sunday morning.

but after church,

i was plenty happy :)

i honestly think there is some sort of magnetic thing going on with australia.

its just luring my best friends there :(

banoffee pie!

Okay okay okay okay

i’ve done it. i’ve made banoffee pie.

i’ve never ever said anything about it, but i’ve always wondered what it would be like to make it.

it just sounds so good.

it tastes so good!

and i mean, sure the one sold at the Mushroom Bakery in Sai Kung is EPIC…but i made me a good ol’ homemade one :)

One day. One looong day. i’m waking up early and will be baking late into the night :D

hey that’s different

Today i made my first ever daring baking step.

i made a cake from reading 3 recipes for lemon drizzle/lemon olive oil cake!

and man, i was freaking out at the start.  I know, how sad is that (not very, right)

for your information, the reasons why I wasn’t chilled as a penguin, was because

one i realised we had no LEMONS. and no, you can’t make a lemon drizzle cake without lemons :) ..and there were none on the tree. SO i had to go to the supermarket a grueling 200 metres away. In the rain. (oh man do i wish I had taken a picture of this awful weather. But i think you can picture it; rain, rain and more rain, with a side of cloud-covered skies.) And so i dragged along my older brother. (btw SARAH, I bought a florida’s natural cranberry juice THING. so YES! PRETTY CAP = PRETTY NEW WALLET :D) So I got 4 lemons. yay. but wait - there’s more!

two got home and realised oh schnitzel. the one of the recipes I was using as a basis for this ..hybrid cake, was for “A delicate lemon sponge, sandwiched with buttery lemon curd and topped with a sweet sharp icing.” …I sure didn’t want a sponge…nor a …cake filling.. Soooo that caused a pickle. But I just worked with it anyway (sponges are always good. always buttery*).

three so after figuring out what my recipe was going to be, i got started. but what happens next just makes you think OH NOES. because. we had no caster sugar. I mean, sure I would have checked normally to see if we had everything..but sometimes caster sugar is just..a given..something we take for granted. Yeah. I’m getting deep. about sugar. Soooo I had to use the nearest possible thing we had. which was brown sugar.

four the mixture was curdled when i it was..mixing.

(and because it was a hybrid of like..lemon drizzle cake, lemon olive oil cake and a moroccan lemon cake thing, i was getting worried.)

five and lastly the cake was some airy weird smelling* icing-like blob thing before it went in the oven.

So, I do realise it suddenly got really brief on four and five, but that’s cos my internet got closed and even though tumblr would usually save everything, it didn’t. so. fail.

i’ll tell you now to spare you the suspense, it came out perfectly FINE. and almost..beautifully perfect. oh and i just tasted it…the glaze is sharp but the cake is nice and ..fluffy :) yum

so here, now you get to see it.

it had lemon and lime rind in it :)

i also made a lemon rosemary glaze :)…i think it was the best part

*i recently got tins of creamery butter and it smelled really..really weird. and not good. and not tasty… but in the cake it turned out fine :)

cos honestly they’re the best.

due to my lack of motivation

and general sickness and tiredness

i decided to google when anzac day was.

then boom.

April 25th.

now this was when i had been lying in bed for 3 hours on my computer without ever getting out of the bed.

but after realising it was anzac day, and then freaking out while im-ing Emu, i hopped out of bed, unplugged my laptop

and took it downstairs to the kitchennn

googled anzac biscuits chewy recipe

..but i think you already know i think that.

anyway

long story short, i was scared they were burnt

but

they werent.

but i make my cookies thicker than the website above :P

and i just ate 2.

note: i did mention above i was sick..if you don’t fancy getting a fever and bronchitis, dont worry. all the more for me :D

okay so i thought it would just talk about this..

i just thought that i smelled cookies and suddenly i craved them and then i realised it was just my shampoo and now i want to make cookies so i think i might make cookies or maybe i’ll sleep or maybe i’ll just go downstairs and bake cookies. i don’t know. i’ll tell you about it later.
